2013 Big Ten Conference Championship Game

The Big Ten Conference game pits the Michigan State Spartans and the Ohio State Buckeyes.  So here is the analysis of the game using the Complex Invasion College Football Production Model.

Michigan State is currently 11-1 playing against an "easier" strength of schedule as compare to the "league" average.  The Spartan's best victory of the season was against currently ranked #45 Iowa.  Michigan State's only loss was a 13-17 decision against currently ranked #59 Notre Dame.  As of last weekend, Michigan State was ranked #7 overall in terms of overall production, with the #53 most productive offense and the #1 most productive defense.

Ohio State is currently 12-0 playing against an "average" strength of schedule as compare to the "league" average.  Ohio State's best win was a 31-24 over currently ranked #9 Wisconsin.  The Buckeyes are currently ranked as the #5 ranked team in overall production and has the #4 ranked offense and the #24 defense.

This is one of the most competitive championship games from the standpoint of the college football complex invasion sport production model, with a very small difference these two team overall.
