Here is a look at the program in terms of the teams production under the last three season with Ralph Friedgen at the helm; five years with Randy Edsall as head football coach and the three years with DJ Durkin as head football coach. Maryland's on-field production is ranked by their total production rank, offensive production rank and defensive production rank using the Complex Invasion College Football Production Model from the data provided from www.cfbstats.com. Note: (the 2018 season is through the last Saturday in October).
Additionally, I have included lines for when Ralph Friedgen (2010) and Randy Edsall (2015) were also fired as the Terrapins head football coach. In terms of production, other than the last season under Friedgen, this program has been mostly below average in terms of on-field production (both in the ACC and Big 10), with this partial season being another exception and lead by Matt Canada. Hmmm.
