I think I will come back to this at the end of the season and see how well the media (and last years model's ranking) relate to the end of the 2012 season for the Big 12 conference. Here is the data. Note that West Virginia (using the NCAA production model) was better than any of the current Big 12 schools (lower 2011 Total means that they were higher ranked in that model than any of the other teams in the Big 12 for this season). It will be interesting to see how the Mountaineers do playing in a different conference.
