On Sunday, Northwestern fired their offensive coordinator Mick McCall. Coach McCall was with the Wildcats for the past twelve seasons (2008), so let's take a look at the Wildcats offensive productivity under McCall. The model has Northwestern's offense ranked 125 (not 126 as stated in the article which is based on points scored), but that still is the 6th worst offense as of the end of the regular season. The good news (if you want to call it that, is that Northwestern's offense currently is not the worst in the Big 10 - they have Rutgers to thank for that).
While not presented here, the Wildcats defense has been better (in terms of production rank) than the offense since 2012.
