South Carolina announced today that head football coach Will Muschamp has been fired.  For his tenure at South Carolina, Muschamp was 28-30 overall.  Below is the South Carolina production rank (total, offense, defense, and the average and worst teams) since 2008 using the Complex Invasion College Football Production Model from the data provided from www.cfbstats.com.  This time period covers the last part of Steve Spurrier's tenure (2008-2015) and Will Muschamp (2016-2020*).  Here are more details about the program under former head coach Steve Spurrier.

Here is a look at the South Carolina Gamecocks football team since 2008 (the year in which the data I use to model FBS production starts).  As you will notice, South Carolina has been below average (except for 2017 (barely)) during Muschamp's tenure.
