Southern Mississippi Fires Head Football Coach Will Hall

Earlier today, Southern Mississippi fired their head football coach, Will Hall.  Hall's record at Southern Mississippi was 14-30 overall.

Will Hall was the head football coach at Southern Mississippi for three seasons plus seven games this season.  Here is a look at the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles football team since 2008 (the year in which the data I use to model FBS production starts).  Other than head football coach Will Hall (2021-2024*), the other head football coaches at Southern Mississippi during this time period were Larry Fedora (2008-2011); Ellis Johnson (2012); Todd Monken (2013-2015) and Jay Hopson (2016-2020*).  As you will notice, Southern Mississippi was fairly average to below average during Hall's tenure.

Below is the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles production rank (total, offense, defense) since 2008 using the Complex Invasion College Football Production Model from the data provided from www.cfbstats.com.  More details about the program under Hall is provided below.
