In an interview yesterday, North Carolina A&T's Chancellor mentioned that as NC A&T moves into the Colonial Athletic Association, that investments need to be made in the athletic department in order to be competitive with other CAA programs. Since I have some athletic department financial data around, I thought I would just compare the total operating expenses between NC A&T (while in the Big South) and Towson. A line chart below shows this data for each programs athletic department from fiscal year 2015 (academic year 2014-2015) to the most recent data - 2021. NC A&T is running between 43% to 55% of Towson during this time period.
