UAB Fires Head Football Coach Trent Dilfer

Trent Dilfer has been fired as the head football coach at UAB. Virginia Tech Fired Head Football Coach Brent Pry

Yesterday Brent Pry was fired as head football coach at Virginia Tech, after an 0-3 start to the 2025 regular season.  Pry was 16-24 in three plus seasons at the helm of the Hokies.  Here is a look at the Virginia Tech Hokies football program since 2008 (the first year that in which I have data for the model).  This time period only covers the last eight seasons of head football coach Frank Beamer (2008-2015), Justin Fuente  (2016-2021), and Brent Pry (2022-2025).  After the figure below is a more detailed look at the Virginia Tech Hokies football program during head coach Pry's tenure based on the Complex Invasion College Football Production Model using data provided by www.cfbstats.com.  (The vertical school color bars represent seasons where head coaches changed).

DeShawn Foster Fired as Head Football Coach at UCLA
